I spent a wonderful summer's day in London over the weekend and came across Nordic Bakery in Marylebone. It is a beautifully stark Scandinavian cafe, with minimal clutter creating a serene cafe experience. The smell of cinnamon buns when you walk in is very welcoming, you will probably find yourself staring at the delicious sandwiches, cakes and buns on offer for quite some time before being able to decide what to order.
It's facade is a lovely grey, with large windows giving the people wandering along the street outside a glimpse of Nordic culture. The minimal furniture and bare walls mean that anyone eating their sticky buns and drinking coffee has no distractions and can read their Stieg Larsson and Henning Mankell books in peace.
