Proud Creative have developed a new identity for the Welsh seaside town of Rhyl.
With great concerns about ecological footprint of cheap flights and a desire to keep it local, as well as Welsh links, rethinking the identity of a British seaside town seemed like a great challenge for the guys at Proud Creative.
Invited by Icon magazine, Proud Creative have created a nostalgic and fun look for Rhyl. The identity is modular and based on the shape of the Rhyl coastline, with a colour pallet that is reminiscent of the British seaside. The patterns are designed to appeal to a broad demographic, conveying the elements of wind, energy, waves and play.
