App that replaces ads with art

If you hate looking at advertising everywhere you go, then Will Sherman is your man. He has devised an app that replaces adverts with a curated collection of original street art, as long as you don't mind constantly looking through your phone or iPad screen that is.

The Augmented Reality Advertising Takeover is an initiative aimed at democratising public visual space through the use of augmented reality technology. The app is currently in beta testing, but will be able to transform posters and billboards in New York's Times Square into original artworks.

Check out the Public Ad Campaign website for updates and videos.

About us

As children we had the freedom of imagination and creativity with no boundaries. At school and as adults we are encouraged away from imagination and day dreaming, to think in a structured, process driven way. We disagree with this. We challenge this. Imagination and creativity are gifts that we are all given, and we can develop and encourage them, not throw them away. Free Thinking® is our approach to life, to creativity, to advertising campaigns, to graphic design. We challenge the way things are done, created, agreed, made.
