Boxpark is set to be the world's first contemporary shopping centre. The "pop up mall", located in Shoreditch, London, was conceived by Roger Wade of Boxfresh and has been created from shipping containers which allow the structure of the centre to be adapted and moved between different sites. The current configuration is made up of 40 containers on the ground floor and 20 on the upper floor and includes cafes as well as retail units. "Boxpark is a home that nurtures the smaller brands, the edgy and innovative round pegs that can't afford and won't fit in to the high street's square holes"... sounds like just the thing we need right now!
