The chilling adaption of John Le Carre's 1974 spy novel, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy by Tomas Alfredson has become a huge success, taking an approximate total of £6.9m since it opened a couple of weeks ago. The film stars Colin Firth, Gary Oldman and Benedict Cumberbatch, and has bee widely acclaimed by critics. The Guardian's Peter Bradshaw commented; 'This Tinker Tailor is a weightless, slo-mo nightmare taking place in what looks like an aquarium filled with poison gas instead of water: I found it more gripping and involving than any crash-bang action picture, and it is anchored by Gary Oldman's tragic mandarin...' more here.
Fashion leader Sir Paul Smith collaborated on the film in its early stages, advising on tones, moods, fashion and photographic approach, and created four silk screen posters - each limited to 50 editions - in aid of Maggie's Cancer Caring Centres.
