Friday night art crawl

Episode 4 of The Culture Show on Thursday (21.14 mins in) saw Michael Smith spend a Friday night on an "art crawl" around galleries and spaces in SE London, taking in private views, events, talks and performances while enjoying a pint on the way.

The tour provides a fascinating insight into the art scene that has sprung up south of the river. Mostly situated in neglected industrial land, little galleries have popped up in old public toilets and even a disused police station. The art is very "make it up as you go along." It is contemporary, young and fresh.

The Last Friday Tours are based in Deptford, Peckham and Bankside, ending at a pub or the official after-party for each area. They take place from 6:30-8:30 pm on the last Friday of every month.

About us

As children we had the freedom of imagination and creativity with no boundaries. At school and as adults we are encouraged away from imagination and day dreaming, to think in a structured, process driven way. We disagree with this. We challenge this. Imagination and creativity are gifts that we are all given, and we can develop and encourage them, not throw them away. Free Thinking® is our approach to life, to creativity, to advertising campaigns, to graphic design. We challenge the way things are done, created, agreed, made.
